Abstract

This poster presents the latest advancements in representing human activities within E3SM river model, MOSART. In one study, we simulate the comprehensive water management activities on a global scale, exploring their impact on reshaping flood dynamics across various basins. In another study, we investigate the relationships between water resources and human demands within the Delaware River Basin through a newly developed inter-basin water transfer scheme within MOSART. These studies represent a significant step forward in understanding the complexities of human-environment interactions and highlights the potential of integrated modeling frameworks in addressing water management challenges in future climate.
