Tier 1b: regional water cycle diagnostics over Amazon

Abstract

Regional water cycle is one of the focus areas in ACME diagnostics.  A couple of examples of regional water cycle diagnostics are presented, including spatial patterns and other statistics.  It becomes an important issue to select proper observational datasets for a remote region, like Amazon, where observational network is sparse.  An example of limited number of rain gauge is shown.
