Data Sharing and Support Policy

E3SM output data for official simulations is publicly available through ESGF. The data has the limited Data Support Policy, see https://e3sm.org/resources/policies/data-policy/. 

To share the unreleased (not published to ESGF) data, the collaborators need to submit a collaboration request to the E3SM Executive Committee, see Collaboration page. 

When the data becomes publicly available ?

All E3SM data from E3SM Computational Campaigns (https://e3sm.org/research/science-campaigns/) will be made publicly available through the ESGF distributed data archives https://esgf-node.llnl.gov/projects/e3sm/ . The data is published after the E3SM scientist have submitted a overview publication based on the campaign. The details on the published data can be found at https://e3sm.org/data/get-e3sm-data/. 

Data Support Policy
