Please list your proposition for a topic session at the 2019 E3SM Meeting. The deadline is
Note: The agenda topic is meant to be a topic relevant to more then one, small group of people, and is part of the agenda for all. It can be requested to be in plenary or a breakout room. The request for breakouts page (Request Breakout Session in 2019 Meeting) is meant for the meetings that are mostly relevant to one particular group of people, more or less independent of other groups. The distinction is a tad fuzzy, when creating the agenda we will take into account the propositions here and the requested breakouts.
A Topic Title | Plenary or Breakout | Requestor | Group | Purpose | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | critical model biases | plenary and (?) breakout(s) | Stephen Price, Wuyin Lin, Luke Van Roekel (Unlicensed) | Cryosphere and Water Cycle | to identify what big, important model biases are currently present that could prevent or limit our ability to address v1, v2 simulation campaign goals |
2 | high-res v1 overview paper | breakout | Peter Caldwell | water cycle | communicate high-res v1 results and status to the broader community and organize paper writing tasks |
3 | SCREAM | breakouts | Peter Caldwell | SCREAM NGD | I'd like to use this all-hands as the wintertime semi-annual SCREAM face-to-face, so would like multiple SCREAM breakouts on parameterization status, running at high-res, and code design. It might also be worth having a plenary talk summarizing status and opportunity to the wider community. |
