Renata: Removed the note ( Note in geen below) from v2.0 registration, changed activity to exclude CFMIP and ScenarioMIP. Will need to add them when we will be publishing to these activities.

           Note: initial submission to include CMIP, RFMIP, DAMIP. CFMIP and ScenarioMIP will follow later.

  The E3SM-2-0 is now registered, NOTE: that the nominal_resolution can only be 50km or 100km, so the values were updated. Also, the registration is now closed for new models, we have the publication imminent and got an exception. I have added the CFMIP and ScenarioMIP activities, so we can publish to those activities as well.

 There is an issue with the size of the string our description creates. All the info is concatenated and becomes a part of the NetCDF attribute string, that has currently (in CMOR) a limit of 1024 characters. We need to cut 105 characters to fit within the limit, below is the original string and my proposition on shortening it out. I also noticed that we did not have any info on vertical layers so added it to the atmos specifications as a sting: "2 vertical layers w/ top at 60 km". See below for changes - old text in red, shortened in green, or added in teal


Original (current) string:
