The Earth System Model Development (ESMD) program area Principle Investigator (PI) and E3SM All-Hands meeting will be held the week of October 26, 2020.

It is the joint meeting of all projects supported by ESMD including DOE lab led SFAs ( e.g., E3SM), SciDAC projects, University led projects as well as the projects jointly funded by ESMD and other program areas.

When

The meeting will take place the week of October 26, starting around 8 am PT (11 am ET) and ending around 5 pm ET (2 pm PT).

Where

This will be a virtual meeting using zoom with plenary room and break-out rooms.

Registration  

Registration will be required to receive an invitation to the zoom meeting. If you plan on submitting an abstract and you do not have the confluence account, please apply for one on the registration page.

Abstract Submission

We encourage you to submit an abstract for an oral presentation or a poster, please specify your preference for giving an oral or poster presentation. Both of them will be done virtually, with posters being displayed on the Confluence pages and accompanying with the audio/video short presentation by the author. The discussion on a poster/or presentation will be accomplished through the comments section on the submission pages.

The confluence account is needed in order to submit an abstract, when registering, please indicate that you will need an account.

To submit an abstract for a 15 minutes talk or a poster, please go to Abstract Submission for the 2020 ESMD & E3SM Meeting. The abstract length should not exceed 250 words. Due date for abstract submission is Monday, .

By the abstracts will be assigned to an oral presentation or a poster.

By presentations for oral talks as well as posters should be uploaded to the abstract submission pages. The posters will additionally prepare a short (up to 5 min) (audio only or audio/visual) recording of the poster presentation and upload it to their page as well.

Instruction to upload a file to the submission page:

  • edit your submission page

  • position cursor in the table in the row titled ‘Presentation’, or ‘Video Recording’

  • drug and drop your presentation file or your video file

  • save the page
