WCRP CMIP International Project Office is soliciting feedback for the CMIP7 Data Request. Detailed instruction is outlined on the v1.0beta release webpage. Submission deadline is 23:59 UTC on 17^th November 2024. Feedback submitted after this date is still welcome and will be considered for v1.1 later this year. 

One consolidated response from each modelling centre should be provided on the spread sheet: link for modelling centres.

• Some possibilities proposed by Chris Golaz and Wuyin Lin for CMIP7:

  • Exact same model version as v3.LR.

  • v3_1.LR: Minor updates to v3.LR (based on what we learn from analysis of v3.LR).

  • v3.HR

  • Experiment sets to be further discussed

Forcing data for CMIP7 is scheduled to release March 2025. Still need to be made ready for E3SM.

Standard output variables we reformat and submit to CMIP:

• What additional experiments (besides DECK+) could benefit E3SM and should be considered for inclusion in future simulation campaigns, contributing to CMIP7?

• Are there any key variables missing from our simulation campaign and CMIP contributions?

• Are there any key simulations and variables produced by E3SM that are not included in the CMIP7 data request, which we should consider suggesting to CMIP?
