Abstract

This summer, we will start running a pair of year-long simulations with the 3km EAMxx. Spanning the August 1, 2019 and August 31, 2020 period, one simulation will use present-day forcings and SSTs while the other will use present-day forcings and +4K sea surface temperatures (SSTs). While the main goal of these simulations will be to calculate Cess feedbacks (and in particular cloud feedbacks) and the circulation response to warming, this simulation pair will be an opportunity to examine various weather phenomena and their response to a warmed climate.
