E3SM Phase 2 Collaboration Policy

In Phase 2 of E3SM, our model code became 'open development' and is available to everyone. We announce and support the so called 'released' versions of the code, currently only v1.0. The support is very limited and only includes the machines we are supporting within E3SM project.

The collaboration request is needed to grant permission to the external projects to access our Confluence site and the internal documentation or to gain access to a non-released E3SM data. The collaboration request should agree to acknowledge E3SM for using it's data or code, it may ask for any additional support, or to access E3SM data that is not yet available to the public. The collaboration should include the agreement on possible joint publication from the research, and should specify expected timeline for all publications from this research and possibly agree to include some E3SM authors.

External projects like ecosystem projects, SFA's that use E3SM data or code, or other collaborators are expected to submit a collaboration request.
