This page should describe Performance Assessment Tests performed for this stand alone feature and should provide links to all the result pages.

Summary

Offline test of N-COM with MATLAB codes against:

(1) N/P fertilization study at tropical forest

(2) 15N tracer study at alpine meadow

Performance Test 1

Performance Test 1: test modeled relative competitiveness

Date last modified: 8/28/2015

Provenance: (Run provenance Link, Code Tag, etc:)

Results: (link to results, data and plots)

Model perturbation experiments compared with nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization field experimental data. The blue dots show the difference between control and perturbed simulations, which mean how much newly added nutrient each consumer takes up. The red circles are recovered isotopically labeled nutrient within each consumer.  Since plants phosphorus uptake was not measured at Hawaii sites, we didn’t include the plants in the perturbation study.

Performance Test 2

Performance Test 2: test modeled partitioning of isotopically labeled nitrogen

Observed plant-microbe competition pattern. The observed plant-microbe competition pattern (triangles) are compared against (1) relative demand competition theory (red line); (2) microbes outcompete plant competition theory (green line); (3) the new competition theory based on ECA approaches. Blue dash line is the mean of ECA predictions. The shaded area shows its 5% - 95% percentiles. Black line shows the fitted ECA model.
