ELM-MOSART-heat has been run over the US domain in 1979-2010 at a 1/8th degree resolution and hourly time step. Validation against the observed daily stream temperature data at over 320 USGS gauges in 2001-2010 shows that the model is able to reproduce reasonably well the sptiotemporal variability satisfactorily. The model simulated stream temperature has been evaluated against the observations at over 470 gauges. In the figure below, each dot presents one river gauge. Overall the model performed reasonably well.
